CILT (UK) Cuckmere Buses – 50 years and counting

Cuckmere Community Bus, run by volunteers, celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. Philip and Wayne will contrast the changes in operating a community bus service over 50 years looking at the services, drivers, structure, fares and vehicles, growing from just 2 services in 1976 to 20 different routes today with just under 50 trained volunteer drivers and other non-driving volunteers carrying more than 88,000 passengers a year.
