Transport and Logistics Safety Forum
The Transport and Logistics Safety Forum leads on safety, risk management, and operational best practice across logistics and transport. It provides resources, events, and networking to help professionals achieve safer outcomes for their organisations.
Objective
The Transport and Logistics Safety forum (TLSF) is a professional group within CILT(UK) for members who are engaged in all aspects of transport and logistics safety. The forum will provide the focus for activity within the Institute relating to safety matters and will aim to inform, advise and influence both members and external bodies on good practice and appropriate policies to enable transport and logistics services to be as safe and effective as possible.

Purpose
To be a cross industry forum sharing best practice to improve safety for all road users.
To develop and promote an annual event to raise awareness and influence safety matters across transport and logistics.
To highlight and disseminate good practice, guidance and experience through publications, submissions to CILT Focus and other relevant journals and web outlets, including shorter and longer articles, opinion pieces, reports of events, visits and study tours.
In conjunction with the Public Policies Committee to respond to consultations at local, national and international level as appropriate on matters relating to safety and to publicise the responses.
To forge appropriate links with government departments in the four constituent countries of the United Kingdom and agencies of Government linked to the industry, local government associations, industry trade bodies, users groups, and professional bodies which have an interest in similar purposes.
To forge appropriate links with other CILT Forums, particularly the Logistics Safety, Bus and Coach, Cycling and Road Freight Forums and their off-shoots, and with regional and national Policy Committees.
To act as a point of reference for information on safety and highlight good practice.
