This database has been made up from the information provided by industry, in response to our call for cross sector collaboration to ensure that the UK is equipped to respond to the coronavirus crisis.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is calling for cross sector collaboration to ensure that as a profession we are equipped to respond to the coronavirus crisis.
We have seen a rapid pivot in operational needs, with demands on the logistics sector soaring as home delivery and pharmaceutical supply chains are put under pressure.
Conversely, as home working grows, so demand for public transport has fallen. We believe as a profession we can work together to meet this challenge.
CILT is providing a service to match organisations together so that those who have capacity can help those in need, by making available staff, vehicles and expertise to support the supply chain.
If you are an organisation seeking support, please access our database of available resources.
If you have capacity and would like to help those in need please complete our online form. The information provided will be uploaded into our public non-editable resource database, for others to view and to directly reach out to their required resource for support.
In support of the CILT Coronavirus Resource Database, Transport Minister Baroness Vere said: “Our response to the coronavirus outbreak is dependent on keeping the UK’s supply chain moving – so that our supermarkets can stay stocked up, and the NHS can access vital medicines.
“It’s incredible to see people working together to ensure drivers, vans and warehouse space are available to the organisations who need them. This sort of collaboration demonstrates the best of Britain.”
We are asking you to contact us if:
- You are an organisation (be it in the logistics, supply chain or passenger transport sectors) with resource availability including, drivers, vehicles or warehousing
- You are a vehicle rental company with available vehicles
- You are a retired member of CILT – who is not classified as “high risk” – and able to offer your services and expertise to logistics operations at this time
If you have any questions, would like your entry on the database to be amended or removed, have an urgent need, or have significant resources on offer please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note, we continue to look for ways to manage this database and ensure it is easily accessible and efficient to use. We appreciate all of your support during these unprecedented times.
