Saving the small things in railway heritage

HistoryWebinarsRail

This talk looks at why the “small things” of railway heritage – signs, benches, lamps, nameboards, fittings and everyday artefacts – matter just as much as grand stations and viaducts. It explores how these minor details shape the character of lines and stations, how volunteers and trusts work to identify and save them, and what good practice looks like for conserving and re‑using small historic items on today’s railway and heritage lines.
