Avia Solutions Group, a provider of Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) services, has entered a partnership with DHL Express aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from international shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel.
The collaboration utilises DHL's GoGreen Plus service, which enables customers to reduce their Scope 3 emissions by incorporating Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) into their logistics operations.
Through the GoGreen Plus Basic Model, Avia Solutions Group has achieved a 12.61% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions associated with DHL shipments, equating to 30.6 tonnes of emissions saved between January and April 2025.
The partnership encompasses multiple subsidiaries within Avia Solutions Group across various sub-sectors, reflecting what the company describes as a group-wide commitment to sustainable operations.

DHL's GoGreen Plus service facilitates emissions reduction through SAF, which is produced from alternative feedstock such as used cooking oil or waste materials. According to DHL, SAF can reduce emissions by approximately 80% on average compared to conventional jet fuel across its lifecycle.
The service forms part of DHL Group's broader commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
To make this possible, DHL Express has established strategic partnerships with major SAF producers, including agreements with bp and Neste to supply over 800 million litres of SAF to the DHL Express network, with expectations to save approximately two million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions over the aviation fuel lifecycle.
