CILT(UK) is proud to share the launch of our Shaping the Future Together: Chair & CEO Member Roadshow - bringing our leadership team directly to members to hear their views, discuss priorities and help shape the Institute’s future.
The first event took place at Maersk, East Midlands Gateway, Derby, on Monday 2 November, marking the beginning of a series of regional sessions designed to strengthen engagement with members and ensure their voices inform CILT(UK)’s strategic direction.
The roadshow provides members with an opportunity meet and listen to Chair Anna-jane Hunter and CEO Helen Hardy face to face – all whilst discussing the Institute’s vision for the future. It is also a chance to examine strategic priorities and what this means for members and the wider logistics, transport and supply chain profession.
Helen said: “I am thrilled to see our first Roadshow event was a big hit. There were open conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing our sector, whilst listening to very voices that matter the most.
“I look forward to our up-and-coming Roadshow dates up and down the country this year and into the new year. We are keen to understand what members value most, where we can do better and how we can deliver greater impact for the profession.”
The East Midlands session explored CILT(UK)’s strategic journey, its refreshed direction and the priorities underpinning its future ambitions, including elevating professional standards, strengthening communities, advancing professional development, enhancing recognition and building a sustainable organisation.
Anna-jane added: “Shaping the future of our Institute is something we must do together. These roadshows are about creating a conversation with our members, understanding what matters to them and ensuring our collective professional experiences and perspectives help inform our future priorities.
“Ultimately by listening to our members across the country, we can build a stronger, more connected Institute that truly reflects the profession we represent.”
Members also participated in discussions on what the Institute should prioritise over the next three years, what could improve their membership experience and what would make CILT(UK) indispensable to their professional journeys.
The Chair & CEO Member Roadshow will continue across regions, providing further opportunities for members to engage directly with the leadership team, share their experiences and contribute to shaping the future of CILT(UK).
