The GB Railfreight industry is changing rapidly – evolving from a dependence on the heavy industries of power generation and steel production to a more customer-focussed role supporting diverse supply chains across the construction, supermarket and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.  Businesses in many sectors now see Railfreight as a key component of their logistics strategies and they value its ability to address some of the pressing challenges facing the nation, including:-

Trunk road congestion
Delivery reliability
City centre deliveries
Decarbonisation and
Emissions

The presentation by members of the CILT Railfreight Forum will describe the current and developing roles across the industry.

Refreshments will be provided.
