This Travel Demand Management Forum event is aimed at professionals working in Travel Demand Management/ Future Mobility/ Sustainable Transport or with a keen interest to learn further about these topics.
For the first part of the session (hybrid format), Forum members and invited speakers will present on the Solent TDM programme funded by National Highways and how the programme managed travel demand on the strategic road network through workplace engagement, travel planning initiatives, behaviour change campaigns and more. We will also hear about the Solent Future Transport Zone Programme and Transforming Cities and Future Plans.
The afternoon’s session (in person only) will involve a guided tour of Southampton to include; the TCF funded City Centre improvements including East Park Terrace Bus Gate, Albion Place Bus Hub and gardens (formerly a car park), Devonshire Road Modal Filter and Grosvenor Square Cycle scheme. Also a stop at Carlton Place which has been converted from a through road to a vibrant pedestrianised area with bars, restaurants, events, and markets.
Both ‘remote’ participants for the hybrid session and in person attendees for the full event are warmly welcomed.
