Ports, Maritime and Waterways Forum
This forum connects maritime professionals to debate and advance port, shipping, and inland waterway issues. It encourages collaboration and promotes best practice in the maritime and water transport industry.
Ports, maritime, and waterways are distinct yet deeply interconnected pillars of the UK supply chain, enabling 95% of the nation’s imports and exports—including food and energy—and supporting the growth of our economy. The PMW Forum takes a holistic view, uniquely bringing these sectors together to champion collaboration, address industry challenges, and promote best practice, recognising their essential role in global and domestic logistics.
Objectives
The Forum looks to address changes in regulations that have, or are about to, affect the sectors through discussion groups and meetings. We organise ports and maritime visits and attend key industry exhibitions and conferences and aim to:
Inform: Share sector news, events, and practical guidance for ports, maritime, and waterways.
Represent: Be the voice for industry issues and policy, responding quickly to changes and consultations.
Develop: Encourage careers, networking, and professional growth through events and learning opportunities.
Purpose
Our purpose is to provide members with a platform to explore the critical issues of the day affecting you and your business. We aim to cover the interests of all those involved in waterborne transport both domestically and internationally. This sector’s work will include freight, trade, port, operations, passenger, cruise terminals and safety matters.
