CILT(UK) joined industry colleagues at the Terrace Pavilion in the House of Commons on 24 June to mark three years of the Generation Logistics campaign, as part of Generation Logistics Week.
Significant progress has been made since CILT(UK) founded the campaign alongside Logistics UK in 2022. The award-winning campaign has seen engagement soar and, most importantly, has successfully raised awareness of this vital sector.

The reception was hosted by Rachel Taylor MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Freight and Logistics, and sponsored by Mike Reader MP. The Future of Roads Minister, Lilian Greenwood MP, addressed the gathering alongside Generation Logistics Ambassadors, championing the campaign's achievements.
Over its first two years, the campaign has increased sector awareness by 37%, whilst positive sentiment towards logistics careers has risen by 212% amongst its target audience.

Attendees included logistics companies, senior leaders, apprentices, and Generation Logistics partners, reinforcing the key message that the logistics sector cannot succeed in isolation. Collaboration between policymakers, skills funders, education providers, and the logistics sector is essential to promote logistics as a career of choice.
Helen Hardy FCILT, CILT(UK) Interim Chief Executive, commented:
"It was a delightful afternoon celebrating the third anniversary of Generation Logistics at today's parliamentary reception. It was encouraging to hear about all the positive work being undertaken to raise awareness and attract talent to the sector."
Daniel Parker Klein, Director of Communications and Policy, added:
"Considerable progress has been achieved, and it was heartening to see politicians – including the Minister for the Future of Roads, Lilian Greenwood – recognising and applauding these efforts.
"Nevertheless, significant work remains to showcase the opportunities our profession offers to new recruits and to deepen understanding of the vital role our sector plays in supporting the Government's growth agenda."
