Industry Professionals Invited to Share Views on UK Bus Stations

CILT UK newsBus & CoachPress releases

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK (CILT(UK)) is inviting members and professionals from across the bus and coach sector to take part in a new industry survey focused on bus stations.

Bus stations remain a vital part of the passenger journey, representing gateways to local communities - connecting and helping shape perceptions of public transport. As the publics expectations evolve and the sector continues to adapt and change, understanding how bus stations can better support passengers, operators and local authorities has never been more important.

The survey aims to gather views from across the industry on the current challenges, opportunities and priorities surrounding bus station facilities, operations, accessibility, safety and passenger experience.

Insights gathered from the survey will help build a clearer picture of the current state of bus stations across the UK and identify areas where investment, innovation and collaboration could deliver tangible improvements.

The findings will support ongoing discussion across the sector around:

-            Passenger information and real-time travel updates

-            Availability and quality of passenger facilities and accessibility

-            Cleanliness, maintenance and overall station condition

-            Safety, security measures and anti-social behaviour

-            Passenger feedback and operational challenges

-            Potential improvements to enhance passenger experience and station operations

CILT(UK) has a long history of using member insight and industry surveys to support best practice, inform and shape future priorities. Previous surveys covering areas such as passenger safety, accessibility and operational performance have provided valuable evidence to support sector-wide improvements.

The Institute is encouraging operators, local authorities, consultants, suppliers and transport professionals to contribute their views to ensure the survey reflects a range of perspectives and backgrounds.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and all responses will help contribute to future discussion and potential recommendations across the industry.
