The Scottish Government’s SME Fleet Analysis Support Scheme 2026/27 is offering up to £15,000 per fleet to support small and medium-sized HGV operators in Scotland to better understand how their operations can transition towards zero emission vehicles.
Financial support is being offered to help hauliers assess their current and future fleet plans and what viable technologies, grid-connections, routes, infrastructure and vehicles, could be decarbonised to best suit their operational needs. This will result in the production of a fleet decarbonisation report.
Part of Transport Scotland’s HGV Market Readiness Fund, participating operators will receive fully funded, expert analysis tailored to their business, including:
· Suitable zero-emission vehicle technologies
· Operational and route feasibility
· Charging and refuelling infrastructure requirements
· Grid capacity considerations
· Total cost of ownership and financing options
· Practical short-, medium-, and long-term transition pathways
The funding is applicable for SME and micro-business HGV operators in Scotland (100 vehicles or fewer). The operators will be facilitated to seek support from data consultant professionals who will carry out all work required to produce the fleet decarbonisation report while also managing the administrative steps involved in preparing and submitting the grant claim for the work.
