"Joining CILT(UK) feels like coming home. I spent the first ten years of my career with DHL Supply Chain and DHL Express in varied commercial and international roles. I know first-hand just how strategic and important this industry is to the UK and global economy. The opportunity to now give something back to the sector that gave me so much is hugely exciting.
"Since then, I have held senior membership and business development roles with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), the Association for Project Management (APM) , and the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA). I also gained an MBA from Manchester Business School. This experience gives me a strong understanding of professional bodies, together with plenty of ideas and transferable skills to bring to CILT(UK).
"Joining as CILT(UK) celebrates its Royal Charter centenary feels particularly significant. There is a rich heritage to build upon, but also a tremendous opportunity to look forward.
"My priorities are to drive the value and growth of membership and chartership across all parts of the profession and career stages; become a trusted partner to more public and private sector employers; and to advance and showcase the profession through our communities and events.
"If there is one word that has been a thread throughout my career, it is GROWTH. This is our moment to grow our reach, influence and impact — both as a profession and as a professional body.
