Where: Morning Session:- Transport for London, 5 Endeavour Square, London E20 1JN (close by to Stratford International Rail Station); 
Afternoon Session:  Palestra House, 197 Blackfriars Rd, London SE1 8NJ (close-by to Southwark tube station and between London Blackfriars and London Waterloo rail stations).

This event which is being jointly organised by the Travel Demand Management Forum and the London Region is aimed at professionals in the travel demand management (TDM)/ communications/ travel behavioural change/ travel mode shift professional disciplines. For in person attendees, the event begins at Transport for London’s Endeavour office in Stratford, East London. For the morning’s session (hybrid format), invited speakers will share knowledge on topical innovations in delivery, with a focus on London. This will include a presentation entitled ‘How Transport for London is trialling communicating busyness to their customers’.

The afternoon’s session (in person only) will include tours of the London Underground and Network Management Control Centres in TfL’s Palestra office. The formal sessions will be followed with a social networking opportunity nearby to London Waterloo Station.

It promises to be a great and varied day, showcasing innovations in practical TDM delivery which can be replicated across other regions in the UK.

Both ‘remote’ participants for the morning’s hybrid session and in person attendees for the full event are warmly welcomed. 

The proposed itinerary is as follows:

  • 09:30 – 12:00   (Hybrid) Presentations and discussion sessions - Best Practice learning / knowledge share
  • 12:00 – 13:00    Lunch and networking
  • 13:00 – 14:00   Travel on Jubilee Line tube to Southwark for TfL Palestra Office.
  • 14:00 – 15:00    Tours of the London Underground and Network Management Control Centres in the TfL Palestra office.
  • 15:00 onwards  Social at a venue nearby within walking distance of London Waterloo Station.
