Level 3 Practitioner Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations Management

Where practical experience meets professional qualification. For logistics, supply chain and operations practitioners.

Is This The Right Qualification For You?

Level 3 provides a strong foundation in logistics and supply chain operations, turning practical workplace knowledge into a nationally recognised qualification. It also provides a pathway to MILT membership, CILT(UK)'s mark of professional competence recognised by employers across the industry

Ideal if you are:

  • New to logistics, supply chain or operations

  • Moving into your first supervisory or coordination role

  • Looking to formalise existing experience

What You Will Learn

Three units completed over 12 to 14 months. Two mandatory units covering the core supply chain and operations framework, plus one optional unit chosen around your role and area of focus.

Unit 1 — Business Operations along the Supply Chain (Mandatory)

How global supply chains are structured and managed. Strategic planning, performance measurement, people management, quality and cost management.

Unit 2 — Cross-functional Interconnectivity (Mandatory)

How the elements of a supply chain interact.  Inventory management, data and information flows, value chain thinking, supply chain resilience and digital transformation.

Unit 3 — Production Operations Management (Optional)

Demand forecasting, materials and capacity planning, shop floor management and control, continuous improvement techniques, and circular economy principles.

Unit 4 — Logistics & Supply Chain Operations (Optional)

The physical supply chain: inventory handling and storage, warehouse and distribution centre management, the logistics and transport functions that connect it all.

I wish I could make the course compulsory for everyone. The depth of knowledge I gained is invaluable. I'll be going for the next level.
